Players Edge is coming to Skate Frederick! Focused on building stronger skating, stickhandling, passing, shooting skills, & overall game knowledge. Players Edge is dedicated to delivering one of the best hockey experiences for your child!

Divided into 4 daily training sessions, Players Edge works on individual skills needed to become a better hockey player and goalie.

  • Session 1 On-Ice (2 hours): The focus is on power skating and individual skills. Each morning we focus on a different aspect of skating and personal skills such as passing, shooting, and stickhandling.
  • Session 2 On-Ice (1.5 hours): We focus on team oriented skills such as one on one, two on one, two on two, and battle drills. Each afternoon, time is devoted to a scrimmage, with the amount of scrimmage time increasing each day.
  • Dryland Training: Each session of dryland is geared towards hand/eye coordination, foot speed, and movement drills. We use team games such as team handball to promote passing and constant movement. Each day will consist of 30 minutes outside or in video.
  • Classroom/Video: Classroom time is used to show players a video of themselves at work. These video sessions are run by one of our instructors, and each player is corrected on any mistakes or given encouragement on a skill they are doing well.

Each student receives a sublimated Players Edge jersey with their name, favorite number, matching socks, and a camp t-shirt!

Must have at least one year of instructional or in-house hockey, along with the ability to freely skate and handle a puck.
