Due to the declining positivity rates in Frederick County, Skate Frederick has decided to reopen the locker rooms to all skaters as of today, January 17th.
Please note the mask mandate instituted by the Frederick County Board of Health, on December 31st at 5 pm is still in effect. Everyone 5 years old and over is still required to wear a mask inside the building of Skate Frederick, regardless of vaccination status. Therefore, masks are required inside the locker rooms. Masks will be required on the ice for public skating sessions and learn to skate classes. Masks will not be required on the ice for hockey players and freestyle session skaters. We would appreciate it if everyone would follow the rules, in order to keep yourself and those around you as safe as possible.
We are keeping the Sheet 2 doors unlocked, so if your event is on Sheet 2, please enter/exit through that door. Hopefully this will minimize contact between groups.
Skate Frederick remains committed to providing a safe environment and protecting the health of our employees and loyal customers. We will continue to allow time between events, so that our staff can disinfect high touch areas. We appreciate your understanding and support during this stressful time, and hope that these new stipulations will be lifted in the near future. With our combined efforts, we can all remain on the ice safely, and enjoy the sport and exercise we have come to love.
All the best,
Skate Frederick Management
